Approximately six months ago I changed from a full-time position to a part-time position at my company because I got another full-time job. Both myself and my employers agreed upon staying at the company part-time, working around my new schedule. However, very recently I was fired and the only comment made in regards to reasoning in that meeting was that “Now you’ve gotten a new job and moved on to bigger and better things”. Is this allowed?

Your employer can terminate you for any reason as long as it's not discrimination and you are provided a fair severance package. Please use the following link to determine your entitlements upon termination (www.severancepaycalculator.com) and then contact us at the number below for a consultation with a lawyer to discuss your employment situation.
