I was fired after I called in saying I would need 2 days off due to dislocating my arm I said I would be in to give a doctors note which I did and the note stated I needed two days off when I arrived I was sat down and told that they needed the shifts covered either way and that they didn't think I should come back because of it even though I had the note stating I would be fine to return after 2 days , I've been working there for about 5 or 6 months so I was not on any sort of probation. My question is is this wrongful dismissal?

Yes, this is a wrongful dismissal and your are owed severance. I would encourage you to visit the severance pay calculator our firm has developed to see what you are owed (www.SeverancePayCalculator.com). In addition, you may be entitled to human rights damages. Please call us and set up a consultation with one of our employment lawyers who would be happy to discuss your matter further with you.
