In Ontario can I be fired for being sick if I exceeded my sick days. We are union and get 10 sick days a year. I have all my medical documentation from the hospital.

Hello and thank you for your question.

In Ontario, employers must accommodate employees who require leaves of absence for legitimate medical reasons. However, as you are unionized I would recommend you speak to your union steward if you feel you have been fired as a result of taking sick days for your medical condition, or feel you will be fired in the near future.
