I rudely complained about the lack of hours over text to my employer. I was not nice. Then I got fired. I did not swear but I did refer to him as a shady employer, with attitude and said he could get back to me when he wanted to treat me like a human being. I was not there for over three months. Is this a wrongful dismissal?

Hi there, and thank you for your question.

It is difficult for an employer to establish that it has just cause to dismiss an employee without providing him or her with severance.

That said, based on the specific facts of your case, it is therefore possible that your termination amounts to a wrongful dismsisal, thus entitling you to severance.

Thank you.
