I was dismissed from my job 2 days shy of my probation. My boss kept telling me I was doing a great job. The director of HR disclosed to another manager they advised against any dismissal. Do I have a leg to stand on? My boss had been demoted from her current position just prior to my dismissal.

Thank you for your question. You may have entitlements to severance even though you only worked a short period of time. Please visit www.severancepaycalculator.com, and then if it shows you being owed more than you were offered (if anything), give us a call to schedule a consultation. Kindly note the limitation period of two years from the date you are notified of your termination.
