Can I be fired up while being injured if I am not assigned to do the job I was hired for

Generally an employer has the ability to terminate you at at anytime, without having to even provide a reason why, if you are terminated on a without cause basis and paid your termination/severance entitlements. However, if you are terminated while on a medical leave or because of a disability this is problematic, and could warrant additional damages to be paid by the Company on top of your severance entitlements.
