I was fired after only a week because I apparently breached the contract between me and my employer. However I cannot understand how I did that. I was hired as an accounts manager and was told I may eventually have some photography and videography shoots. This was mentioned in my contract however never did it say anything about me using my own equipment. When I tried to discuss this with my employer I was fired for breaching the contract even though there was nothing in it at all about using my equipment. Is this fair? In the meantime I invested time and money into this new position as well as gave up my previous job which was my main source of income and had lots of opportunity.

Thank you for your question. It is possible that even after only one week of employment you are owed some sort of severance package. It would be important to review any offer letters or employment contract you signed, as well as discuss the matter with you in more detail. Please feel free to give us a call at the number below to discuss your situation in more detail. We would be happy to assist in any way we can.
