I was fired without being given a reason and I would like to know my rights

Thanks for writing to us. For a without cause termination, an employer can legally terminate an employee's employment and it does not have to provide a reason. In this case, you would be entitled to notice or payment in lieu thereof. If you were terminated for cause, the employer must provide a reason.
