I worked for a company for 6 1/2 months. I was told the owner was very pleased. The owner asked me to continue employment and offered me more money and benefits to stay. They showed me graphs that showed I had brought there store within the top 10 percentile out if 55 corporate stores . A new GM was hired and openly admitted to anybody who would listen that he and the owner were butting heads on my position. He didn’t agree that I should be solely working on this job and should be back up cashier answering phones sales and waiting on customers which I was told not to do. I never left in time as the owner and the inventory manager was aware of and was never paid overtime. My dismissal letter was given to me with inaccurate reasons listed ( coffee cups on floor etc.) by the new GM. That I was incapable of doing a good job as I didn’t read internal memos fast enough. I received 5 hours of training - and the only online training was WHIMIS etc. As they stated Corp computer system was down and I could do procedure and policy training and work related at a later date. This never happened. I was never told I was ineffective in my job - on the contrary - keep doing what your doing owner could not be happier. They did safety ladder training last month and I was told I was exempt as I am listed under office and admin. They had me work from 6 am - 9pm at times to satisfy inventory needs. Then gave days off as they refuse to pay OT. I use a ladder every day. The new GM called my job clearance crap on multiple occasions . My ROE states poor work performance . Please advise, with thanks.
