I drive one full time, and I was told I’d have to give the car back and that my employment is ending on Friday September 27th because they’re “consolidating routes”, but a fellow employee told me what’s actually happening is I’m being replaced by the receptionist for the company because she doesn’t get along well with people in the office, and the boss doesn’t want to fire her. So she’s getting my job, and I’m being punished just because the boss doesn’t want to face backlash from her for being disciplined. So the boss not only lied to me about why I’m being let go, but is only letting me go because he’s too scared to let go of someone else. I’m not sure if I have grounds to complain. Thank you.Hi there Yesterday I got a visit from HR and my Regional Manager and they let me know they are separating and ceasing my employment with the company. They offered me a separation package and it was enhanced to 8 weeks pay from the 4 weeks pay that was indicated on my employment agreement letter. They stated decline in business and my leadership underperformance. There has been no conversations with me directly about my personal leadership performance. No year end Review given to me in April / May when reviews were given. I have been with this employer for just over a year and inherited a underperforming store from day one as well as operational and people opportunities. Any advice would be welcomed as I have once week to sign the Release form and accept enhanced package.I was let go after a week of employment because I have a criminal recordI was fired by my employer for insubordination while under a Return To Program with WSIB and the company is now withholding my severance pay as a blackmail act because I refuse to sign a document that exempts them from any responsibilities for my injury and also against any legal action on my behalf.
