Do employees need a copy of verbal warning of the day of the warning
Hello,
Thank you for your question.
If it is only a verbal warning, there may not be any written record of such. If there is a written record of such, you should request a copy of same for your own records and to know what exactly it states.
If they do not provide you with one, it may be more difficult to prove that they actually warned you. I would ask for one, but you should know there is no legal obligation, per say, to prepare a written record of a verbal warning.
