I was a financial Consultant. I worked for them Since August 2015, and licensed December 2015. I was not offered any termination or severance pay. And they have not provided me with a copy of my contract, so I am attempting to contact HR to see if I can gain a copy. But I have been locked out of the building and all networks so I cannot access it online with no notice, before or after. I received a termination letter today stating that I was fired because I failed to provide a Doctor’s Note, when I have
proof that I emailed it to him, and he responded to that email. I also have a physical copy of the note for my records. I was given no notice of termination before or after the fact, and the only reason I knew I was fired was because my VPN, email and logins no longer worked. I received no verbal or written warnings and I did not get 1 week notice. I had to call in to ask if everything was ok and I was told that my contract was terminated because I didn’t provide a Doctor’s note which I did provide. I have copies of all email correspondence. Do you think I have a case?
