I was fired from Costco after 2 months of hard work because one of the managers said I looked stressed and not happy, told It would not be right away and that I would be given some time to find another job. Went in the next day for my shift and was told to leave cuz they changed their mind about letting me finish up my shifts.

Hi Sally,

Thank you for your question.

Did Costco provide you with any notice or pay in lieu of notice?

While an employer is entitled, generally speaking, to terminate an employee's employment at any time, even as a relatively short-term employee (2 months of service), you may be entitled to more compensation than you think. It could depend on a number of factors, including whether or not you signed a contract containing a probationary period clause.

In any event, and just to be on the safe side, I suggest you call our firm to schedule a consultation so that you can be properly advised of your rights and potential entitlements.
