Can you get fired because of “drama”.
a foreman tried making me wear ppe when I already had ppe head phones on, and he took me back to the yard. I fought respectfully but stern with my bosses and they said I have to much drama already. Previously gave me a week off because I broke my finger in a non work related environment! My head phones meet the occupation heath and safety act and Since that Forman doesn’t want to work with me I get sent home. Is this fair and allowed?

Thank you for your question. My name is Jon Pinkus and I am an employment lawyer with Samfiru Tumarkin LLP.

An employer can terminate your employment at any time, but unless they have "just cause", they will owe you severance. Just cause requires the employer to prove that you engaged in very serious behaviour. What you have described does not necessarily sound like just cause, so if you have not been offered a severance package you should speak with us. If you have been offered a severance package, please check https://www.severancepaycalculator.com/ to find out what you could be owed.

Then, I would recommend contacting us at the number below for a consultation.
