I was recently hired as an underground miner for North American Palladium at a remote mine up by Thunder Bay.I had worked as a contract miner up there s year ago until I was hurt on the job,the next day was told I had a bad attitude and that my services were no longer needed.Fast track to a month ago,the actual company hired me,I worked there for a week and exceeded my expectations of work but all of a sudden was told I was fired because of what happened a year ago when I was a contractor.can they do this?

Hello, they cannot terminate your employment for something that you were already disciplined for. Additionally, it sounds as if they may have terminated you contrary to their obligations under human rights and workplace safety legislation. You should absolutely contact us for a consultation.
