I was "let go" but have no proof of this. A job I was doing was ended not by my companies choice and they said there is no work for me. I have not received any written notice however form them. they also now have work available but will not speak to me. was I fired? or let go?

Thank you for your question. My name is Jon Pinkus and I am an employment lawyer with Samfiru Tumarkin LLP.

Being "fired" or "let go" is the same thing at law, and what you have described sounds like a wrongful dismissal. I would recommend that you contact me at jon.pinkus@stlawyers.ca so we can discuss how to get you compensation. From your description, this sounds like a matter that would be simple to resolve.
