I reported harassment and was removed from the shift that put me in contact with the harasser. I lost 24 hours. Is there a law stating that the person reporting harassment can not be punished by being the one removed from the work place.

Thank you for your question.

If you believe that you have been reprised against as a result of reporting harassment, then there may be actions that you can take to hold your employer to account. The question will be whether your employer dealt with the situation to the best of its ability. If it could have resolved the situation by removing the harasser, instead of you, then that could be problematic.

If you are concerned, then I would recommend that you contact us at the number below for an in-depth consultation before taking any action.
