I worked for 6 mo. as a security guard for Ford in Windsor.I dozed off for a few minutes and one of my employees took a video and showed mgmt.and they fired me.This was my second time I temporary dozed off.I suffered a brain tumour back in 2006 and it has left me loosing some of my skills but I have shown up punctually every day. This employee who videotaped me has a vendetta against me.
Thx
Rob

Based on the information you provided, it is unlikely your employer would have grounds for "cause" to terminate you without pay. Further, if your employer was aware of your medical condition this could amount to a breach of the Human Rights Code by the employer. In any event, if you have been terminated either with or without cause, you should contact our office to speak with one of our employment lawyers so we can assess your termination entitlements.
