Add Comment Question: I was terminated this morning as I was told a harassment complaint was made against me. I got no notification until this morning or no chance to defend myself. I was just advised that harassment as I was asking a person (as part of my job) what they were working on. I did not touch the person either. The person complained of harassment of space. As I read in the Ontario Human Rights Commission, an investigation must be done giving me the chance to speak and also I must be given a copy of the complaint in writing. Please advise. .. Thank you very much for your time. Answer: Please contact us at the number below to schedule a consultation with one of our lawyers. The harassment complaint against you does not disentitle you from severance pay and you may be entitled to additional damages if the termination was conducted in bad faith or was humiliating.
