I broke my humerous bone in my arm on Sept 22, 2019 and my employer offered to lay me off at first but I went back because I was afraid of losing my job. I worked from October 2, 2019 to December 12, 2019 at which time I was struggling with my duties due to having no strength in my hand and owner told me I was deficient in my duties after I asked for some changes to my work schedule. I went on EI sick leave and while on leave she decided to lay me off citing no work. Then she hired someone else for the position. Is this legal for my employer to do?
