I am a dental receptionist and I was fired after two years employment at the end of the day the doctors called me i to the office and told me that production had been down for a few months and they had lost money pointing at a piece of paper on the desk and said it was all my fault. The doctor was yelling at me and I was in shock, I had just had my employee review two weeks earlier and nothing was ever said to me that they weren’t happy with my performance. I wasn’t allowed to defend myself and every time i tried he said I was lying. I felt so humiliated and degraded.They did say they were giving me three weeks pay as severance but I am now emotionally struggling to understand how they turned on me like that so harshly. I always came to work and did a good job. Can they blame all that on me? Did I get a good settlement or am I entitled to more?
