I am disabled, i have significant mobility issues due to hip, knee injuries and sciatica. I have to take pain medication to work. The city busses in my area went on strike. My boos expects me to either walk for 2 hours to the nearest LRT train or pay for cabs to and from work. that would cost me $800.00 dollars a month, half of my monthly pay. can they fire me if I cant make it in for my shifts during the bus strike?

No, this would be an illegal termination and a failure to accommodate your medical issues.
