I was dismissed from my employment on September 5th and did not receive an ROE until I requested it WEEKS later. As a result, I have not been able to qualify for EI because Service Canada did not have my ROE (also because my former employer did not sent it to them). What should I do?

You should first try to re-explain this situation to Service Canada and ask if there is any route you can take to challenge their decision based on the fact that the employer did not issue your ROE in time.

In any event, I would recommend that you contact our office to speak with one of our employment lawyers so we can better assess whether you are entitled to any additional severance and/or damages stemming from your termination and your employer's failure to issue your ROE on time.
