My employer fired me because my coworker who was the driver got a ticket is that right? Was that not wrongful dismissal?

Employers are allowed to terminate employees at any time, without a particular reason, as long as the employee is provided with appropriate notice or pay in lieu of notice. If the company is alleging cause, they have a high threshold to meet that assertion.
