Is an employer supposed to drug test. Before firing you when they say they found drugs at your work area without even being present?

An employer is not under an obligation to drug test you. In fact, they are quite limited in their ability to issue a random drug test unless you are in a safety sensitive position, or are suspected of being intoxicated at work at that time.
