I was fired from my job from a new owner that took over a fast food franchise and never recieved three weeks notice or termination pay, even though I worked there for over 3 years. After talking to my boss who said I am not getting my 3 weeks pay, I talked to the ministry of labour and they told me that I should recieve it and to file a complaint with them.
I want to do that, but also want to know if this type of situation can be followed out through a lawyer to also take into account the 'pain and suffering' from not being given proper notice and having to do all the extra work just so that I can get enough pay to last until I can find another job.
Would I be capable of turning this into a lawsuit, and would the outcome be worth it?

after 3 years of employment 3 weeks is the minimum amount of severance you are owed. Please use the following link to determine your entitlements (www.severancepaycalculator.com) and then contact us for a consultation with a lawyer to discuss your employment situation and entitlements.
