I am a Full time university student working for the YMCA. I have been employed for more than 6 months. Last week I went to work and a manager from head office came in, told me I was to go home, give back any property belonging to the company, that I would be paid for the next week, and that they would contact me, I was escorted off the property. When I asked why, what happened, I was told they could not tell me and they would contact me. I have not done anything wrong. I have never been verbally warned or written up for anything. I am a Gay Male working in a mostly female workplace. I fully believe I have been Wrongfully targeted, What are my rights for reinstatement or compensation?
