If I give 2 weeks notice for parental leave then the company fires me is that wrongful dismissal?
Do I have to give two weeks notice for parental leave?

If your employment is provincially regulated (rather than federally), you do have to give 2 weeks notice of a parental leave. If your employer fires you in response, that would definitely be a wrongful dismissal, in which case you would be owed severance and additional human rights damages. Fee free to give us a call at the number below if you would like to discuss your situation in more detail. We’d be happy to help in any way we can.
