Hello. I am an Ontario resident working for a company based out of Québec and my local office is in Québec. I was looking at your severance pay calculator online which specifically mentions that it applies to Ontario and BC only. Since my employer is located in QC, I assume that QC provincial laws would apply. I am proactively preparing for a potential situation and was wondering if the expected outcome of severance from my situation would be significantly different from a situation in ON or BC or would they be in the same range. I understand this in not a black and white situation, but wondering about if there would be significant or minor differences expected...ROM?

Generally speaking, if you are employed in Ontario, your entitlements are subject to Ontario law. However, if you are working in the Quebec local office, very likely you are subject to Quebec law.

I would recommend if you are let go you first consult with local counsel in Quebec, and if it turns out that they determine you need an Ontario lawyer, please contact us at the number below. Kindly note that in Ontario there is a limitation date of two years from the date of notice of termination.
