My son was let go one day without explanation after a year and a half full time work. He never received a ROE or any answer to what he did. Never written up or verbally warned for any reason.
A year later he was contacted and 2 levels of management apologized, said it wasn’t his fault that it was wrongfully handled and he was offered his job back with a raise.
He accepted and has been there 4 months. Things are not going well with the supervisor that caused the original problem. What are his options?

If the mistreatment by the supervisor has been serious and ongoing over the past 4 months your son should raise a formal internal complaint with HR to ensure that the Company is aware of what is going on. However, if the issues continue this could warrant a constructive dismissal of your son's employment, potentially triggering his severance entitlements. I highly recommend you have your son contact our office to speak with one of our employment lawyers so we can assess his matter further and determine the best course of action for him.
