If you are termanated without severence and then the company will allow you to resign, with six weeks severance pay, is it a good deal. When you have been termanated by cause before.

Thank you for your question. My name is Jon Pinkus and I am an employment lawyer at Samfiru Tumarkin LLP.

Whether it is a good deal will depend on the reasons why you were terminated. It is very difficult to establish just cause, so just because they say they have just cause doesn't mean they do. It will depend on what you have done.

I would strongly recommend that you email me at jon.pinkus@stlawyers.ca. Then we can get you set up with a consultation to discuss your entitlements in more detail.
