Someone told HR that I called a manager a derogatory name & I was called into a meeting with senior management. I kept saying that I don’t use that word & they said it is serious & they will have to investigate. What do I do? I have been 30 years with this come& never had an issue like this

Employers have an obligation to investigate all acts of discrimination and/or workplace harassment, as such you need to participate in the investigation. You need to be honest and truthful, and provide any evidence or witnesses to support your position that you did not utter the derogatory name. If you would like further support through this process, please contact our office for a consult.
