I was told to take the work truck to the mechanics when I was done work for the day. Day ran late and I attempted to contact my boss with no reply. The worker I supervise daily kept telling me to get the truck there by midnight. I got home late and did not take the work truck to the mechanics that night as i had my personal tools to unload. I was called the next day by a manager from another division of the company and told I habe been fired. Since I have asked for my last pay, termination pay, R.O.E and reimbursement for fuel cost I have now been accused of committing fraud, embezzlement and damanging company property. Where do I stand, do I have any rights?

This may amount to wrongful dismissal. The threshold for cause for dismissal is a very high burden for an employer to meet. Please review your potential entitlements using the Severance Calculator and contact our office for a consult.
