I work 2 casual jobs to make ends meet. If I refuse a shift from one employer because I am working for the other employer, can I lose my job from the employer that I refused the shift from?

Thanks for your question. Your employer can terminate your employment on a without cause basis as long as you receive the proper notice of termination or payment in lieu thereof. The amount of notice or pay will depend on several factors, including your length of service. If your employment is terminated, you can give us a call at the number below to discuss your termination entitlements and options in further detail. It's important that you do not sign anything or accept any severance offer without first speaking to an employment lawyer.
