I’ve worked for 30 years for my employer and have been on Short Term Disability due to cancer. I was given an ultimatum by my employer to retire or have my job terminated. Am I entitled to severance? I am 68 years old.

You should absolutely not resign or retire. In the event that the employer proceeds to terminate your employment or continues to pressure you, please contact us at the number below right away to have the severance assessed and discuss the options available to you.

I can only imagine how stressful your situation is but try not to feel intimidated by the employer and do reach out to us for legal advice and guidance. You have significant entitlements after 30 years of service and we can help you to protect and pursue those entitlements.
