I've worked for a major retailer in Ontario for 25 yrs. In the 25 yrs I have worked all across the province with many overnight stays, some for 1 week at a time, this was part of the employment terms.
They are now telling me that I must travel and work out of province. Is this considered a constructive dismissal?

Thanks

Hello, if an employer decides to change a fundamental term of your employment contract then you may have been constructively dismissed. If they are now telling you that you need to travel and work outside of the province, and you never did that before, you very well may have been constructively dismissed. I encourage you to speak with an employment lawyer to discuss this issue further and to utilize our severance pay calculator to see what your legal entitlements are (https://www.severancepaycalculator.com/online-severance-calculator/).
