I worked for a year as a server. I was assaulted in the workplace (going through court now) and felt unsafe to return to work, so I resigned. After the initial shock of the incident, and knowing the that my safety was secured, I requested to return to work. They have refused my return to work. Is there anything that can be done?

Yes, this may amount to reprisal under workplace violence provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and a constructive dismissal. I would recommend you contact us to speak with a lawyer about your potential recourse and entitlements.
