My wife and I have been live in building managers for a residential building with 100 apartments. We were hired on Feb 12, 2018 and let go "without cause" on Feb 4, 2019 (1 week before 1 year anniversary). We were offered 1 week pay in lieu of notice. We are also required to give up possession of our apartment by Feb 12, 2019 aas per our contract. Our employer is the largest property management company in Canada with over 800 employees. My question is: What can we ask for in terms of termination pay? I am 46 years old, my wife is 48, and we gave up our home to take this job a year ago.
